- Windows Image Acquisition is a Windows-based function that helps with the data transmission between the device and the scanner device.
- Your scanner might fail to complete the scanning process if the WIA is at idle mode. To check the WIA status, type View local services in the windows search and select view local services from the results.
- If the status is at started status and the type is automatic then the WIA is at working state.
